My boys | Croquet photo shoot

It’s been a long time since I posted! It is my busiest time of year and my goal has been getting galleries and weddings out in time so the blog has been sadly neglected. I finally had the chance to get out and photograph my boys. I am constantly buying them clothes and they pile up begging to be photographed so tonight I finally had time to get out and do it. Photographing for myself is always so stressful! I wish I had an assistant along just to calm me down. I can get so worked up because I plan the shoot in my mind for weeks and miraculously expect everything to go perfectly. Tonight we fought mosquitoes and I only had about half an hour’s worth of attention span but I think I got a few framers! We’re currently doing a lot of home renovations including moving my office downstairs so I am excited to have some new photos to put up on the walls!

Fall Mini-Sessions | Now booking!

2012 Fall mini-sessions are finally announced! I am still finalizing locations but they will more than likely be south metro country locations. These sessions book first come first serve, so please email me for a session booking form to reserve your date/time.

Farm kids.

Earlier this month I spent some time in rural Wisconsin visiting my good friend Tara. These photos haven’t made it to the blog yet but they are too cute to pass up! My friend Tara recently embarked on the adventure of raising their own cattle so I had to make a special trip to check it out! My visits with Tara are few and far between but also very chaotic! Between six kids (two toddlers), we somehow try to cram in haircuts, photo shoots, and quality conversation and it always ends up being a little crazy. We always daydream that someday we’ll be able to have some one on one time and do some real catching up (perhaps on beach with margaritas?). For now, we’re just both busy moms but still manage to find time for each other. We had some fun in the Buffalo River splashing around. Thanks to these awesome sand bars, I was able to jump in the water with the family and play too! I will post more of these photos as I get to them.I love you friend!

xoxo

If you are a fan but are not receiving my updates in your timeline, you will need to update your settings due to the recent facebook changes. Thank you! I appreciate your support!

p.s. My next round of mini-sessions will be in October so if you’re interested please stay tuned for updates! I will book two half days and will only have a limited number of spots so it is first come first served.

I’m a photography machine.

Secret confession: I’m a horrible wife and mother right now. It’s not a shock if at 8 pm my kids are asking me what’s for dinner- IF I’m home that is. It’s not a surprise that this is the busiest time of year for photographers. It’s the height of wedding season, the beginning of fall family portraits, and high school senior sessions are in full swing. I am a complete photography machine right now and unfortunately everything else is suffering at the moment. Once I get caught up, I hope to be a mother again. And cook my husband a decent dinner. And pry myself away from my computer to enjoy this lovely weather. If it wasn’t for summer activities that I signed the boys up for I don’t think I’d ever leave the house unless it was for a photo shoot.

So please bear with me if it takes an extra day to receive an email reply, or I don’t get your sneak peek posted the night of our session. I am trying my hardest to balance it all and continue to love my job. It’s also a reminder that in order to be a mom and a wife, I will be booking a limited number of fall sessions this year. So if you want to get on my books please contact me- the sooner the better!

For now a sneak peek of these twin cuties- they will be turning 8 very soon!
