I spend a lot of time at my desk editing photos and my favorite way to entertain myself is by watching TV series on my iPad. It’s actually pretty amazing. I get to work from home and watch TV! My newest series I just picked up is Downton Abbey. I’ve been hearing so much about it and to be honest I am usually not into period shows but I am two episodes in and I am really diggin’ it! I never would have thought!

I know a lot of people have Netflix. I don’t, but I do have an Amazon Prime membership. It is seriously the best money I have ever spent. I order from Amazon a ton and I love being able to order a $10 item and get free two-day shipping. The best feature is Amazon Instant Video which I have installed on my iPad. Remember I said I spend a lot of time at my desk? Since I’ve had the Prime/iPad combo I’ve watched:

Parenthood (one of my favorite shows ever), Parks and Recreation (definitely my new favorite comedy), Grey’s Anatomy Season 1-8, random episodes of Party of Five, 90210, & lots of great documentaries like Dirt, Vanishing of the Bees, and loads of other food documentaries.

Moral of the story? I love my iPad and Amazon Instant Video! What other shows should I be watching?

I had such a great group of seniors last year! I LOVE photographing high school seniors and my goal is to triple my senior business this year. To do this I need your help! If you have or know a high school senior in any school district please send them my way! I work with many school districts and am always looking to add more.

If you know of a senior that would be interested in a FREE session, I have a program called OWP Senior Socialite. The senior would fill out an application and if chosen, he/she will receive a FREE session and in return promote my studio and earn credits toward their photo package. I have the honor of photographing these girls every year. They are sisters but could not look more different and also have such different personalities! I am still playing catch up with all my blogging from last year. I had the honor of photographing the birth of a friend and fellow ECFE mom today! Being present at a birth is one of the most amazing things you can witness. It is God’s true miracle and I wish that more momma’s would have this captured.

Shayla has a 3 year old daughter and this baby’s gender was a big surprise! There are NO boys in her family lineage and their family claims “they just can’t make boys.” Baby boy was a little stubborn so Shayla ended up being induced which made this birth capture easy to plan around. She was induced in the morning and everything went very quickly. He was born at 12:57 pm and came in at 9 lbs. 14 oz.! Since they were not expecting a boy he doesn’t have a name as of yet, dad has the honor of giving him a name!
